At the plate, he hits from a slightly open stance with an aggressive approach, looking to attack fastballs early in the count. He consistently produces hard, low line drives and shows confidence in the batter's box.

Behind the plate, Boden is a gritty catcher who takes pride in blocking everything. Starting from a one-knee down stance, he gives his pitchers the confidence to throw any pitch in any count. His toughness and reliability make him a trusted presence behind the dish.

On the mound, Boden works from the middle of the rubber with a smooth hip turn. He features a fastball in the mid-to-high 70s and complements it with a slurvy breaking ball.
