Carter is a highly cerebral player who stands out with his ability to communicate and lead, especially for an emerging high school athlete. He brings a mature approach to the game and has the physical frame to continue adding strength and development over time.

At the plate, Carter hits from a tall setup and shows the ability to drive the ball with pull-side power from the right side. He brings confidence and an aggressive approach to the box.

Behind the plate, Carter uses a one-knee down catching stance and shows the ability to receive the baseball well. Continuing to improve his blocking skills will help him become an even more complete catcher. His arm strength is a definite asset, consistently putting throws on the bag and giving infielders quality opportunities to make tags on base stealers.

On the mound, Carter’s upside is especially intriguing. His fastball reaches the upper 70s and pairs well with a curveball that creates a significant velocity difference, giving hitters a difficult look. With his athletic ability, competitiveness, and continued development, Carter is a player with an exciting future ahead.
